Research progress in the preparation and application of photonic crystals based on metal-organic framework

  • In recent years, due to the excellent optical properties of photonic crystals and the special porous structure of metal-organic framework (MOFs), the research of photonic crystals based on MOFs has attracted much attention from researchers. In this paper, the research progress of MOFs and their applications in photonic crystals in recent years were reviewed. Firstly, MOFs, photonic crystals and the advantages of MOFs combined with photonic crystals were briefly introduced. Then, the preparation methods of photonic crystals based on MOFs were described, and their application status was further summarized. Finally, the difficulties existing in the current researches of photonic crystals based on MOFs were summarized, and the future development direction was prospected. These works provide strategic support for the practical application of MOFs-based photonic crystals.
