Study on Piezoelectric Effect Enhancing Visible Light Photocatalytic Performance of UiO-66/WS2 Composite

  • It is an an important field tha the photocatalytic activity of WS2 materials is improved. UiO-66/WS2 composites were synthesized using a two-step hydrothermal method. Characterization of product structure and morphology using XRD, SEM, FT-IR. The catalytic performance of the composite was analyzed using Rhodamine B as the target degradation product. The results showed that under the simultaneous action of ultrasound and light, the degradation efficiency of UiO-66/WS2 composite was twice that of UiO-66 and 1.4 times that of WS2. The degradation effect under the simultaneous action of piezoelectric photocatalysis was nearly twice that of photocatalysis alone, and the composite material had good reusability. Analysis of the catalytic mechanism revealed that the piezoelectric field induced by ultrasound is beneficial for the separation and migration of photo generated charge carriers. The preparation of piezoelectric photocatalytic composite materials can provide new ideas for the design of piezoelectric photocatalytic coupling effect.
