Abstract
With the advancement of industrialization, fossil fuels are limited and non-renewable, and their excessive use can lead to environmental issues. Photocatalytic technology has become a research hotspot for addressing energy and environmental challenges due to its advantages of high efficiency, environmental friendliness, and mild reaction conditions. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) composites, with their large specific surface area, abundant active sites, and easy functionalization, hold promise for promoting the practical application of photocatalytic technology. This paper first outlines the limitations of existing photocatalysts, the advantages of MOFs, and the main preparation methods of MOFs-photocatalyst composites. It then focuses on the composite strategies and research progress of MOFs combined with other functional materials. The aim is to provide new ideas and references for the design and optimization of MOFs-photocatalyst composites, offering fresh insights and perspectives to tackle current environmental challenges.
