ELASTIC MODULUS AND YIELD STRENGTH OF SHORT FIBER REINFORCED METAL MATRIX COMPOSITES

摘要: 基于文献 1 提出的变形模型和获得的应力分析结果, 推导出了短纤维增强金属基复合材料弹性模量和屈服强度理论表达式。表达式预测的结果与实验结果吻合很好, 并与Eshelby 模型及有限元数值模型预测结果表现出很好的一致。分析表明, 复合材料的弹性模量和屈服强度相对于基体材料弹性模量和屈服强度的增加主要来自应力传递的贡献。Abstract: The expressions for the elastic modulus and the yield strength of the composite were derived based on the deformation model and the results of the stress analysis. The predictions of the expressions exhibit good agreement with the experiments and also with those from the Eshelby model and finite element numerical calculations. It was shown that the increased elastic modulus and yield strength relative to the elastic modulus and the yield strength of the matrix depend mainly on the contribution from the stress transfer.
