Abstract:
The Ni-W-ZrO
2 composite coatings were prepared by electrodeposition. The dispersible characteristics of particles were studied. The effects of the main factors, such as adding particle quantity, current density, pH value and temperature on the hardness, deposition rate and surface of Ni-W-ZrO
2 composite coatings were investigated. The process parameters of Ni-W-ZrO
2 composite coatings were obtained through optimization: the adding particle quantity is 10 g/L, current density is 15 A/dm
2, pH value is 7 and temperature is 60~70 ℃. The microhardness of Ni-W-ZrO
2 coatings reaches higher than HV800(×9.8MPa). The corrosion resistance was studied by the electrochemical techniques, and the results show that the Ni-W-ZrO
2 composite coatings have obvious passivation.
