Abstract:
The 3D finite element analysis is needed to improve the computational precise for the blot connection zone of composite laminates and steel, but the analysis is limited due to the lack of 3D anisotropic material property data for laminates. To deal with this problem, meanwhile, avoid the complexity of building 3D laminates model by layers, the approach of determining global 3D material properties of laminates by NIAH method (A novel implementation of homogenization method) was proposed. In this approach, the cell required to represent the global properties of laminates is constructed by representative layers which were selected according to the actual laying mode of the laminates. On the basis of verifying the reliability of the proposed approach, the 3D material properties of laminates were obtained through a specific example, and the 3D finite element analysis of the bolt connection between the laminates and steel is realized, which verifies the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed approach.
