Abstract:
In order to overcome the drawback of phase separation in the process of phase change and improve the thermal cycling performances of sodium acetate trihydrate (CH
3COONa·3H
2O), new phase change materials composed of CH
3COONa·3H
2O,
n-Eicosane and expanded graphite (EG) were prepared by a simple blending method. The structure and thermal properties of as-prepared samples were characterized by XRD, SEM and DSC techniques. The result indicates that the thermal cycling performance of
n-Eisosane-EG/CH
3COONa·3H
2O is improved by the coated effect of
n-Eicosane and confinement effect of EG.
