SiGw/Al复合材料的偏轴拉伸断裂行为

OFF-AXIS TENSILE FRACTICRE BEHAVIOR IN SiCw/Al COMPOSITE

  • 摘要: 应用扫描电镜对挤压SiCw/6061Al复合材料的拉伸断裂过程进行了动态观察,并详细讨论了偏轴角θ对复合材料强度和断裂行为的影响。结果表明,微裂纹起源于晶须周围基体中,其萌生与扩展受晶须偏轴角的控制。复合材料由正向断裂向剪切断裂转变的特征角θ0约为45-50°。

     

    Abstract: The dyramic tensile rrocesses of silicon carbide whisker reinforced 6061A1 composite (SiGw/6061A1)have been in situ observed by scanning clectron microscope.T he effect of off-a xis angle on strength and fracture behavior has been studied in detail.The results show that microcracks are resalted from the matrix adjacent to whiskers.The initiation and propagation of crack depend on the off-axis angle of whisker,and the optimum off-axis angle (θ0) at which the transition from forward fracture to shear fracture occurs is about 45-50°.
