Abstract: This paper presents a new method of double increment (MDI) for the analysis of composite laminate strength.The formula of calculation and the method of programming are shown about the MDI.The numerical example also shows that the MDI not only has more obvious physical interpretation, but its theoretical result is more closely to the experimental value than that of the method of single increment.
