等效介质理论数值方法应用于随机取向纤维复合材料的杨氏模量

NUMERICAL EFFECTIVE MEDIUM THEORY CALCULATIONS OF THE YOUNG’s MODULUS OF RANDOMLY ORIENTED FIBRE COMPOSITES

  • 摘要: 本文运用了等效介质理论数值方法4,计算单向纤维增强复合材料的弹性常数,进而透过Christensen & Waals3的一套平均公式,计算二维及三维随机取向纤维复合材料的杨氏模量,以探讨等效介质理论对此类材料的适用性.计算结果与基于Halpin-Tsai8式及Christensen7式的结果甚为相近,与实验值也有很好的符合.

     

    Abstract: Numerical calculation of the elastic engineering constants of unidirectional fibre composites based on an effective medium theory (EMT)4 is here employed to find the Young's modulus of 2-dimensional as well as 3-dimensional randomly oriented fibre composites by a method of geometrical average over orientations due to Christensen & Waals3.The results compare faverably with similar calculations based on theories of Halpin-Tsai8 and Christensen7,and show good conformity with experimental data.Thus it is shown that EMT is applicable to the calculation of elastic properties of randomly oriented fibre composites.
