Abstract: In this paper a nine-mode rectangle element of composite sandwich plate is developed and applied to the large deflection analysis of symmetric composite sandwich plates. The effects of boundary conditions,shear moduli of core and the thickness ratio between the core and the faceplates on solution of large deflection are discussed. Some meaningful results are obtained.
