INVESTIGATION OF INTERFACIAL PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITES REINFORCED BY CARBON FIBER

摘要: 复合材料的界面问题具有其自身的特殊性、复杂性和重要性, 它不仅与材料的工艺有关, 而且也显著影响着复合材料的损伤和破坏过程。本文采用激光喇曼光谱技术测量了碳纤维复合材料内纤维单丝的微变形, 研究了应力传递机理及剪应力的分布。实验结果显示拉伸应变小于0. 8% 时, 纤维内的应变与端部的拉伸应变成线性关系。Abstract: The interface problem of composite materials has some particularity, complexity and importance. It not only is related to the processing of materials, but also has a prominent effect on the damage and failure process. In this paper, the micro deformation of a single fiber in the single fiber/epoxy composites is measured by using the laser Raman spectroscopy (LRS) technique and the micromechanics of stress transfer is investigated. From the experiment, it can be found that the average strain in fiber increases linearly with the applied strain up to 0.8%, at which the fiber occurs to fracture.
