碳/铝复合材料界面反应对抗拉强度的影响
Effect of the Interfacial Reaction on the Tensile Strength of C/Al Composites

摘要: 本文对Ti-B法制备的碳—铝合复材料经各种处理后产生的不同程度的界面反应与其纵向抗拉强度的关系进行了研究。碳—铝界面反应主要从三方面影响复合材料的抗拉强度:①界面结合强度;②界面脆性层;⑨纤维损伤。这三者的作用程度与界面反应程度有关。界面反应不严重时,主要是界面结合强度起作用;反应较严重时,界面脆性层的影响增大;反应很严重时,纤维发生严重损伤,对材料的抗拉强度产生很大的影响。Abstract: It is important to find out that the effect of the interfacial reaction and the properties of carbon/aluminum strong interface bonding brittle interface layer,and then the rainforced fiber damage.In order to get various status of interface reactions, thermal exposure was used.By use of a scanning electron microscope and analysis of the reaction product (Al4C3)the status of interfacial bonding was determined.It is shown that the strength of interface bonding and the thickness of the brittle layer mainly affect the crack propagating method in the loading process of composites. When the interface bonding is stiong, the crack propagates across the fiber so that the strength of composites was decreased.When the bonding is weak, the crack propagates along the fiber surface and the fiber is pulled out, so the strength was increased.As a crack source, the brittle interface layer that has a harmful thickness may lead to fracture of composites below the theoretical strength (ROM).Otherwise the brittle layer can be a throughway for quickly crack propagating.When the temperature of thermal exposure exceed 650℃, the stronger interface reaction occurs and the rainforced fiber may be damaged, and therefore the strength of the composite decreased rapidly.
