Abstract

Abstract

The CVD installation to obtain coating on ceramic particles was designed and made. The process of obtaining TiN coating on Al₂O₃ particles was investigated. The results show that the TiN coating can improve the infiltrating depth of the heat resistant steel liquid between Al₂O₃ particles, and the particles can be firmly sustained by the matrix. The fraction of Al₂O₃ particles in composite may be adjusted between 23%～57%.
