STUDY ON THE SURFACE OF CARBON FIBER BY MEANS OF X-RAY PHOTOELECTRON SPECTROSCOPY-Ⅱ

This paper made a study of the surface compositions of carbon fibers treated by various methods with the use of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).C_1s X-ray photoelectron spectra showed that after the surfaces of carbon fibers were treated the carbon in the hydrocarbon was changed into and -COOH etc.,which were results of surface oxidation and whose contents increased with time but finally reached constant.
