THE TWO-LAYERED REED ANALYSIS METHOD FOR STUDING THE CURING OF FRP

The curing process of FRP prepreg could be readily tested by means of the two-layered reed analysis method (TRA),in which a strip of FRP prepreg was bonded to a thin steel and its DMA was tested with a vibrating, reed instrument.The TRA proved to be a simple and useful technique for studyiug the curing processes of FRP,selecting the recipes of heat resistant resin systems,determining the required curing temperature and time,and checking the drapability of prepreg with different storage lives.
