THE STUDY OF CF/EP COMPOSITE INTERFACE CHEMICAL REACTIONS
-
Abstract
We used PGC to study CF/EP composite interface chemical reactions. From our experimental results we have confirmed that chemical bonding exists in the interface of composites. The surface groups of carbon fibres can react with the epoxide resin(glycidyl ether of β-naphthol) at the temperature as low as 140℃.Temperature lias an acceleration effect on the reactions, aad the acceloration of temperature is more effective at higher temperature, Vie used the carbon fibres that had been oxidized. in HNO3 for 1 hr to react with the以ycidyl ether of β-naphthol for 5 hours, the reaction content of the CF surface groups was 0.009meq/g, 0.014meq/g, 0.03meq/g at 140℃,160℃ and 180℃ respectively.
