INTERPHASE MORPHOLOGY AND STRESS FAILURE OF THE ALUMINIUM-EPOXIDE LAMINARY COMPOSITE MATERIALS

  • Some recent observations on the interphase morphology of the dared epoxide resin as bondline between aluminium layers are reviswed. This iaelude the fibrous structure near the interface after the adhesive reaction, the netlike tructure in the mainphase of the polymer layer and their mechanical behavior sunder the shear loading. Generally an epoxide bondline consists of two inter phases with the fibrous and one mainphase with the netlike morphology.Different mechenical responses of these two phases,characterized by measura of the creep shear deformation.showed that the failure and tha fracture of the fibrous structure took place much carlier than the netlike structure.
