Abstract

This paper summarizes the studies of earbon carbon fibre coatings for fabricating metal-matrix-composites, The states of carbon fibre coatings of metal oxide, carbide, nitride and boride resulted from electroplating, chemical plating, chemical vapour deposition,sol-gel method,heat diffusion and heat bath are discussed and some advise for the choice of fibre coatings is put forward.
