A STUDY OF FILAMENT-WOUND GRP TEE PIPE FITTLING

The winding principle ch the GRP tee pipe fitting whose intersection is an eccentric sphcra is and the formula for calculating the height at which the fibre pass over the mandrel on winding the interim area from arm to sphere and prom sphere to arm is given in this paper. The godesic and non-geodesic winding of GRP the PiPe fifting are diseussed. It is necessary to solve the problem of micro void areas at the interscetion of the stem and the sphere by means of inlaying reinforeing tape or fabrle when single geodesic pattern is used.
