HIGH STRENGTH EPOXY MATRIX AND COMPOSITE CURED AT MODERATE TEMPERATURE

  • A high strength epoxy matrix and composite cured at moderate temperature for the composite rotor blades of helicopter has been investigated furthermore by using tests of general mechanical properties, nine engineering constants were obtained. Wet-heat ageing, dynamic mechanical properties and other properties were investigated by using techniques of DMA,DSC,IR, SGC, SEM. The experimental results showed that the glass-epoxy laminates have high strength,moduli,wet-heat resistance and tension-tension fatigue strength limit.The elastic modules of the laminates decreased about 10% when the temperature increases from 20℃ to 80℃. Four types of spectrum DMA,DSC,IR and SGC,of Y-2 resin matrix,the morphology of microstructure and fracture of the glass-epoxy laminate samples are shown in this paper.
