STRENGTHENING EFFECT OF THE GLASS FIBRE ON THE RESIN EMERY GRINDING WHEEL

Effect of the glass fibre on the microstructure and property of the resin emery grinding wheel is studied. The results show that adding glass fibre does not impair the hardness of the grin ding wheel.When the length of the glass fibre is aver a critical value,the strength of the grin-ding wheel increases,especially,when the glass fibre is evenly dispersed and aligned along the direction of its length,the strengthening effect is more remarkable.
