RESEARCH ON SINTERING CHARACTERISTICS OF SHORT FIBER REINFORCED PERMEABLE COMPOSITE OF A₃S₂/Fe

This paper studies the sintering characteristics and venting quality of A₃S₂/Fe composite and effectiveness of short fiber reinforcement,and analyzes the formation mechanism of its macrostructure and microstructure in sintering.Experimental results show that A₃S₂/Fe composite has the good sintering properties at sintering temperatures of 900-1000℃,a hard layer forms in the surface of the composite when the sample is sintered,and short fibers obviously reinforce this composite.The compressive strength of the composite can reach 17-23MPa,and the venting quality is within the range of 4.30-9.69cm³/(cm²·s·atm),which can meet the needs in application.
