STUDY FOR THE INTERFACIAL SHEARING STRENGTH BETWEEN A FIBER AND MATRIX

Using microdebonding technique,the interfacial microdebonding force between single fiber and matrix has been measured by a refitted optical micro-scope.Adopting the micro mechanical model of single fiber with sheaths and according to the maximum stress theory of composite materials,the interface with microdebonding has been calculated by using finite elements;thereby the interfacial shearing strength between the single fiber and matrix has been obtained.
