STUDY ON RHEOLOGICAL BEHAVIOUR AND SPINABILITY OF ORGANIC PRECURSORS FOR SiC-C FIBERS

  • The precursor PC-P blenders that can be used to prepare SiC-C fibers were obtained by blending the precursor polycarbosilane of SiC fibers and the precursor pitch of carbon fibers.The rheological and spinning behaviour of blenders is related to these two components.So long as the spinability temperature regions of polycarbosilane and pitch coincide with each other,there can be a good spinable PC-P blender.This research will be of value to the selection of components and to the blending process in manufacturing SiC-C fibers.
