TECHNOLOGY AND PROPERTIES OF BORON CARBIDE PARTICLE/MAGNESIUM ALLOY COMPOSITES

  • Technology of manufacturing boron carbide particle/magnesium alloy(B4CP/ZMS) composite by squeeze casting process and second processing properties of the blank of thls composite have been investigated.The compressive strength,hardness and density of boron carbide partlcle/magneslum alloy composite were measured.The boron carbide particle/magnesium alloy composite 15 shown to have low density,high strength and hardness,good forming and second processing propertles.
