PREPARATION OF BORIDE EUTECTIC IN-SITU COMPOSITE

Abstract

Abstract

LaB₆-ZrB₂ eutectic in-situ composites with LaB₆ as matrix and ZrB₂ whiskers uniformly distributed in the matrix were prepared by the method of electron beam zone melting.The averag ediameter of the ZrB₂ whiskers is 0.2～1.1m,and the number of ZrB₂ whiskers perunitarea can be up to 10₈/cm².
